J. Willy's Public House and Eatery has opened J. Willy's 19th Hole at the Lake Oswego City Golf Course.

The eatery is owned by J. Willy's owner Jeff Williamson, and new partners Bob Whitely and Brian McNeel. Whitely will serve as manager and cook at the new golf course café.

"With the mothership just five miles away it makes it easy to have the golf course café," said Williamson. The golf shop café is open seven days a week — from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Whitely says the hours will expand as the golf season progresses.

The café offers hot dogs and chicken strips, plus favorite sandwiches like pulled pork, grilled chicken and Swiss cheese, burgers and French fries and other snacks. The 19th Hole has a full liquor license, and serves draft and bottled beer and wine.

Whitely was part of the service team last summer at the golf course café, and is pleased to be back, this year as a part owner in the venture.

"I really like the golf crowd," Whitely said. "There are so many nice people here."

Williamson said the golf course cafe gives him more flexibility in accommodating requests for special events. If his West Linn location can't accommodate a group, they can use the golf course location. And it's a premium location for golfers.

"We have good food, and we're all geared up to get the golfers in and enjoy lunch after a game," Williamson said.

The 19th Hole is located in the clubhouse at the Lake Oswego Golf Course, 17525 S.W. Stafford Road in Lake Oswego. The phone number is 503-636-8228 ext. 5.
