Bambuza Vietnam Kitchen has signed a lease at Gramor Development’s newest Lake Oswego retail and restaurant center, Kruse Village. The 65,000-square-foot center, with six buildings, is currently under development and will open in the spring of 2015.

This is the fourth location for the growing restaurant.

Bambuza Vietnam Kitchen, offering pho noodle soups, fresh salad rolls, banh mi (Vietnamese-style sandwiches made with grilled meats on French baguettes), vermicelli noodle bowls and rice platters along with a wide selection of vegan and gluten-free options, has leased 1,128 square-feet.

“We have three other locations, but we’re particularly excited about this one,” said Daniel Nguyen, who owns the restaurants with his wife, Katherine. “We’ve been involved in the Lake Oswego community for a long time. Our children go to school here, and in fact, we live less than a mile from Kruse Village. It’s exciting for us to build this restaurant here in our own hometown.”

Nguyen plans for Bambuza Vietnam Kitchen to have a strong sustainable and eco-friendly focus in its construction and its everyday operations. He estimates his restaurant will hire about 12 new, full- and part-time positions.

Other signed tenants, thus far, include MOD Superfast Pizza, Strada Italian Cuisine, Ava Roasteria, Tan Republic, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, Wow! Burger Express, Vida Nails and Tavern on Kruse.

“I’m pleased that we are seeing so much interest in this development,” said Barry Cain, of Gramor Development.. “This fits the retail and overall business development strategy that we are planning for this business and residential corridor, as it’s surrounded by high-density office and neighborhood populations.”

Kruse Village’s design features three central plazas and centralized parking with 250 spaces. It is designed to enhance and integrate with the architecture and design of the surrounding area.
