Lakewood Theatre Company will present the play “A. Lincoln,” at 7 p.m. Feb. 17.

The one-person play, featuring Steve Holgate, is a reprise performance of the sold-out show performed at Lakewood last fall. Holgate captures the life and times of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States.

“Audience response was so positive to the show that we thought the occasion of President’s Day seemed an appropriate time to bring the performance back, especially for those who may have been turned away at last fall’s performance,” said Steve Knox, Lakewood education coordinator.

Conceived, written and performed by Holgate, “A. Lincoln” brings Abraham Lincoln to life in a two-act production through letters, speeches, newspaper stories and conversation.

Critics have lauded Holgate’s performance as an intimate portrayal that personally conveys the spirit and laconic nature of the man.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

They can be purchased online at or by calling the box office at 503-635-3901.

Lakewood Theatre Company is housed at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St., Lake Oswego.
