Muscles in Motion presents seminar on nutrition, exercise
Muscles in Motion will present The Sweet Science of Nutrition and Exercise at 1 p.m. Jan. 20 at the fitness studio, located at 17437 Boones Ferry Road, suite 300 in Lake Oswego. Strength coaches Patrick Long and Hans Streckenbach will share information about the effect sugar has on the body and it's relationship to exercise. Art classes at Cannon Beach Jan. 13
Local artists Jan Rimerman, Jani Hoberg and Lisa Wiser will offer Layers, Line and Light!, a mixed medium on paper specialty workshop at Cannon Beach Art Association, 1064 S. Hemlock St. in Cannon Beach. The festivities take place Jan. 13. Class will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and an art reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
The workshop will explore the use of paper, powdered charcoal, plexiglass, etching ink, pencils and acrylic paint all in one class. Students will have an opportunity to create their own images using a square format and the three artists' unique techniques. Call 503-436-0744 to learn more.
Three Rivers Artist Guild to hold reception Jan. 21
Three Rivers Artist Guild will hold a Meet the Artist reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 21 at Singer Hill Cafe, 623 7th St. Oregon City. Complimentary appetizers and coffee will be served.
