Lakeridge and Lake Oswego high schools keep tradition dancing

Prom and May Fete have their time in the spotlight again this year

Lakeridge’s prom queen is senior Alexa Stirek, and the king is senior Julian Heninger. The event took place April 27 at Refuge PDX, a Portland event space. Lake Oswego High School’s spring rite of passage, May Fete, includes several events, including skits, a dance and a coronation last week. This year, Sarah Sutton wore the crown.The court members are Kyra Bailey, Ashlee Casebeer, Katherine Dunham, Abigail Gray, Sydni Hodnot, Madeline Meier, Cori Paine, Emily Prasil and Grayson Williams-Krebs.

Once held in May, the event was moved to April to accommodate the Advanced Placement testing schedule, according to the Laker Club.
