The Pacer dancers took part in the Mt. Hood & Friends 2014 Dance Competition last weekend at Parkrose High School in Portland.

Lakeridge dancers are performing well this season. In the team's debut at Dance and Drill Coaches Association of Oregon’s category championships in December, Lakeridge earned second place in the large varsity pom and intermediate varsity jazz categories.

The Pacer Dance Team also was one of 13 teams that prequalified for state after participating in the Canby Winter Festival of Dance in the 6A Dance and Drill division. The dance competitions are among several events leading up to the Oregon School Activities Association state Dance and Drill championship held March 19 to 22 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland.

Lake Oswego High School dancers did not participate in the competition at Parkrose but made the finals in the Large Varsity Jazz category at the 2014 National Dance Team Championship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. The Lakers also will be on hand at the OSAA competition.
