BOTHELakeridge High grad selected for summit

Kaya Bothe, who graduated from Lakeridge High School in June, was selected to attend the Global Youth Summit on the Future of Medicine at Brandeis University.

Bothe, a pre-medicine student at Brandeis, is one of 230 delegates selected for the program, which was held June 25-July 1. Only students with "exceptional academic records and test scores as well as documented interest in a medical or health career were invited to apply" out of hundreds of applicants, according to a press release.

Attendees enjoyed behind-the-scenes insight into the world of health care through hands-on learning and guest lectures. The summit's keynote addresses were delivered by David Roberts, Dean of External Education at Harvard Medical School.
