Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, tickets for the Lake Oswego Reads dessert and discussion of William Stafford’s life and works will be distributed on the main floor of the Lake Oswego Library.

The library is located at 706 Fourth St

Admission to the Feb. 13 event is free, but seating is limited and tickets are required.

There is a two ticket per person limit and a Lake Oswego Public Library card is required to obtain tickets.

The event, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., includes a dessert buffet hosted by Lake Oswego Women’s Club and a presentation at 7 p.m. by Kim Stafford, son of William Stafford, who will discuss his father’s daily writing practice and how this led to a life of compassion and witness.

Kim Stafford is an award-winning essayist and poet and has taught writing at Lewis & Clark College and other colleges locally and abroad for more than 30 years.

The tickets will be valid until 15 minutes before the 7 p.m. presentation begins.

People without tickets will be seated then, space permitting.

Lake Oswego High School is located at 2501 County Club Road.
