Political consultant and Lake Oswego resident Andrea Salinas has been chosen to succeed Ann Lininger as the state representative for House District 38.
Clackamas and Multnomah county commissioners voted unanimously Wednesday afternoon to appoint Salinas after interviewing four finalists for the post. Lake Oswego City Councilors Joe Buck and Theresa Kohlhoff, as well as public relations executive Neil Simon, were also in the running.
Salinas will now fill the remainder of Lininger's term, which runs through 2018. Lininger resigned from the Legislature last month after being appointed to a Clackamas County Circuit Court judgeship.
