ACCIDENTS

10/3/17 8:41 a.m. A driver was cited for making a dangerous left turn after a two-car crash at Kruse Way and Westlake Drive.

10/6/17 4:03 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to avoid a stopped vehicle after a two-car crash at Brookhurst Drive and Highway 43. Forty minutes later, another driver was cited for careless driving after a two-car accident at the same intersection.

10/6/17 5:26 p.m. Two fawns were spotted on either side of the road after a car struck a deer near State Street and D Avenue, but they ran off before bystanders could help them.

10/7/17 5:11 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device after a two-car wreck at Meadowlark Lane and Overlook Drive.

10/9/17 3:05 p.m. A driver was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign after a two-car crash at Third Street and C Avenue.

THEFTS

10/3/17 11:35 a.m. A package containing a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses worth $230 was taken from a porch on Hallinan Circle.

10/3/17 8:01 p.m. A woman grabbed a handful of items and left the Rite Aid store on B Avenue without paying. Estimated loss: $300.

10/4/17 7:34 a.m. Thieves broke a window and stole a purse from a Mercedes ML350 on North State Street.

10/6/17 7:03 a.m. The front license plate on a Subaru Crosstrek was stolen sometime on Oct. 5 while its owner was either at work or shopping in Tigard.

10/9/17 7:03 a.m. Generators, shears, a leaf blower and extension cords were taken over the weekend from a trailer on Stafford Road.

STOLEN VEHICLES

10/5/17 6:32 a.m. A red, white and blue Honda CBR motorcycle was reported stolen overnight on Parkview Drive.

10/5/17 10:47 a.m. A black and red Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle was reported stolen overnight from the parking lot at One Jefferson Parkway.

10/6/17 11:22 p.m. A stolen Volkwagen Passat was recovered near A Avenue and Fifth Street, and a suspect reportedly seen getting out of the driver's seat could now face charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of meth.

FRAUD

10/4/17 1:59 p.m. A man told police that someone had opened fraudulent accounts by using his name.

10/4/17 2:17 p.m. Someone opened a Paypal account using a Lake Oswego man's personal information.

10/8/17 2:03 p.m. Someone tried to open fraudulent accounts using a Lake Oswego man's personal information.

MISC.

9/26/17 6:34 p.m. Two mattresses were spotted in the middle of the road at North State Street and Terwilliger Boulevard. An officer moved them to the center island, and ODOT was notified.

9/26/17 9:33 p.m. Officers offered a blanket and information about shelters to a man who was reportedly panhandling in the downtown Safeway parking lot.

9/27/17 8:15 a.m. A man thought he saw a person lying on the shoulder of the roadway near Boones Ferry Road and Kerr Parkway. Police determined that it was actually a bag of trash, though, and threw the garbage away.

9/27/17 3:09 p.m. Two guinea pigs were left in a silver Suburban on Meadows Road for fours hours, but officers determined that the critters were just fine.

9/28/17 11:02 a.m. A red-haired woman looked like she had passed out in bushes along Foothills Road, but she told police she was only napping. Nevertheless, officers told her she'd have to find another place to snooze.

9/28/17 1:06 p.m. A woman brought a firearm to police headquarters and asked that it be destroyed.

9/28/17 1:13 p.m. Police responded to reports that a resident of the Robinswood group home for foster youth was being aggressive, banging on furniture and kicking things. The youth had calmed down by the time officers arrived, though, and told police he was just upset about his medications.

9/29/17 6 a.m. A man and woman were found sleeping in an alcove at the Adult Community Center. They voluntarily agreed to move on after officers woke them up.

9/29/17 5:31 p.m. A woman reported finding credit cards in her mailbox on Cloverleaf Road.

9/29/17 6:45 p.m. When an attendent at a downtown gas station spent more than 15 minutes in the bathroom, a customer suspected drug use was involved and called police. Turns out the suspicions were unfounded, though; the attendent was simply having "stomach issues."

9/29/17 10:50 p.m. An elderly woman apparently thought she was at a hotel when she walked into a home on Brookhurst Drive. Officers contacted the woman, who said she was from California and lost; they helped her find an actual hotel, where she agreed to wait for help from a friend in the morning.

9/30/17 1:28 a.m. Police took two teenagers — a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old — into protective custody near Boones Ferry and Bryant roads after they were found out after curfew.

9/30/17 3:53 a.m. A man was spotted outside a home on Collins Way, reportedly drinking from a can and with his pants down around his ankles. Police checked the area, but came up empty.

9/30/17 12:42 p.m. A woman told police that her ex-boyfriend had hired someone to intimidate her.

10/3/17 6:18 a.m. A concerned resident on Cornell Court reported seeing a man with a flashlight wandering around the neighborhood. Turns out it was only a construction worker, though, who had shown up to a job site early.

10/3/17 9:49 a.m. An obviously inebriated woman carrying a half-empty bottle of wine refused to leave the grounds of the Mormon Temple on Kruse Oaks Boulevard when approached by a church employee, prompting a call to police. She was gone by the time officers arrived, though.

10/3/17 11:08 a.m. Officers transported an injured squirrel from a woman's yard on C Avenue to a nearby veterinarian's office, where the critter was put out of its misery.

10/3/17 3:07 p.m. A man grabbed a woman's dog and caused it to squeal in what was described as an ongoing dispute between neighbors on Carman Drive.

10/3/17 4:47 p.m. A mom told police she was concerned about a high school party that her son wanted to attend because there might be drugs at the gathering. Advice and options were dispensed.

10/3/17 4:57 p.m. Despite a restraining order currently on file, a woman told police that a stalker had hacked into her email and Facebook account and logged into her email from his computer. An investigation is ongoing.

10/3/17 9:15 p.m. A resident of a senior living facility complained that carpet cleaners were using a loud machine. The workers promised police that they would be done by 10 p.m.

10/4/17 7:29 a.m. Two more juveniles — a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old — ran away from the Robinswood group home on Christie Drive.

10/4/17 12:09 p.m. A man who promised to fix a dent on a woman's car actually caused more damage but still took her money.

10/4/17 2:03 p.m. A mom continued to send text messages to her son, even after he asked her to stop.

10/4/17 2:28 p.m. A man told police he found a gun on the new boat he had just purchased.

10/5/17 9:03 a.m. A bushy-haired man in his 60s raised suspicions after he was spotted sitting on a curb across the street from Westridge Elementary School on four consecutive mornings. Police responded to the location on Royce Way but were unable to locate the man, who was described as white, about 5-feet-11-inches tall, with an average build and bushy salt-and-pepper hair.

10/6/17 2:40 p.m. A man was transported to a detox facility after reportedly pulling his pants down near State and Leonard streets and telling people to look.
