City of Lake Oswego offers free forestry workshops

The city of Lake Oswego is offering a series of urban and community forestry workshops for the seventh consecutive year. On May 11, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, learn from ISA Certified Arborist Damon Schrosk about basic tree biology and structure so that you can better understand how to manage the trees on your property. Plan to attend Women of Worth's tea

Rolling Hills Community Church will hold a tea as the last Women of Worth event of the yearon May 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 3550 SW Borland Road. Guest speaker will be Becky Herbst speaking on "the Sovereignty of God."

Portland Community College to hold recycling event

The Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College will join forces

with Total Reclaim, hosting the sixth annual Computer e-Cycling Drive

to collect unwanted computer equipment.

The event is held May 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the PCC-Sylvania

campus, 12000 SW 49th Ave., Portland and will be open to the

general public. Cost: $5 per car load; $10 per pick-up truck/SUV/van

load. Cash only — no checks or credit cards. Back by popular

demand: Block Styrofoam will be accepted on site. New this year: Hard

drive smashing on site.
