Park reservations can be made starting March 1

With just nine covered picnic shelters available to reserve, it is a good idea to make those summer plans early and call West Linn Parks and Recreation to book your special date as soon as possible. Covered areas are located at Hammerle, Mary S. Young, Marylhurst Heights, Sunset, Tanner Creek and Willamette parks.

Typically it is the large shelter at Willamette Park companies and larger groups request first.

Tanner Creek Park and the new Marylhurst Heights Park are great choices for gatherings with younger children who especially enjoy the spray pad features.

Visit the website westlinnoregon.gov/parksrec/reserve-facility to read more about each park location and to see what indoor facilities are also available for private use.

West Linn residents may begin reserving picnic areas the first workday in March; nonresidents may begin requesting dates a week later. To request a picnic shelter or softball field reservation, contact the West Linn Parks and Recreation Department at 503-557-4700.
