Spring arriving at Luscher Farm

Enjoy a beautiful spring day out at Luscher Farm. Cook up a storm and join the Little Chefs or Kids in the Kitchen program. As you walk in to the farmhouse you will enjoy the smell of delicious delights created by chef Laura Content. Several programs are coming in March. Stay tuned for spring break camps, gardening classes and children’s garden programs.

Little Chefs — Oatmeal Cookies and Milk. Preschoolers and parent make a snack together and develop a lifelong love for the culinary arts. Price is per parent and child; register in the child’s name. Ages 3 to 8, 9:30 to 10:15 a.m., March 15, $19.

Kids in the Kitchen — Potato Leek Soup and Irish Soda. Learn cooking skills while preparing a healthy meal using produce from the children’s garden. Ages 6 to 15, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 15, $27.

Featured classes at the LOACC

New — Line Dancing. Taught by Doug Lund, this class is designed for both the beginning line dancer and those with some line dance experience. Class is devoted to introductory dances and reviews the classics for an active way to engage the mind and body. Ages 17 and older, 4 to 5 p.m., Tuesdays, March 11 to April 22, $56.

Spring Smoothies. Spring into better health through smoothies. Fresh fruits and vegetables can boost health and vitality. Ages 18 and older, 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 11, $21.

Intro to Guitar. This course is designed to teach the basic fundamentals and techniques needed to play guitar in any musical style. Ages 18 and older, 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesdays, March 12 to April 16, $60.

Looking for a creative night out?

Night Photo Shoot. Learn how to take very low-light evening photography. Master taking consistently impressive pictures in the most difficult lighting conditions. “Paint” with light, do traffic streaks and “WOW” motion, shoot lights across Oswego Lake and more. Ages 12 and older, 7 to 9 p.m. March 12, $27.

ASAP Friday Night Field Trip — Laser Tag. Meet at the McKenzie Lounge in the West End Building, then head out for an evening of fun with your friends. Dinner is provided and space is limited, so register early.
