To support the more than 20,000 meals that go out to seniors and disabled people in Lake Oswego each year, Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels will hold a fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 1 at the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center, 505 G Ave., in Lake Oswego.

Partnering with LOMOW is Lake Oswego Academy of Dance, which will present a dancer showcase as the entertainment for the event.

“The dance academy studio staff learned of the real need for their services in our community, saw the dedication of their volunteers and the commitment of their board and the staff of the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center and chose to partner with the Meals on Wheels board,” Ann Adrian, manager of the LOACC said. “They were impressed to learn that many times, the volunteer from Meals on Wheels is the only visitor to some of our local homebound elderly.”

The event is a full day of fun, performances from dancers ages 4 to 17 and drawings for gift baskets full of donations from local businesses. Suggested donation at the door is $4 per person.

“We hope everyone will come, make a donation and help support this terrific organization,” Adrian said.
