Lake Oswego Park and Recreation will start screening free movies at Millennium Plaza Park July 20. See 'Jungle Book' that night

It's time for Movies in the Park — Enjoy a summer evening watching an outdoor movie at Millennium Plaza Park, located at 200 First St. in Lake Oswego.

Bring your blankets, pillows and low sand chairs for a relaxing night under the stars. Popcorn and other tasty treats are available for purchase. Movies are shown Thursday evenings at dusk, about 8:30-9 p.m. All movies are rated PG. See "Jungle Book" July 20, "Moana" July 27, "Brave" Aug. 3 and "Sing" Aug. 10. It's free, and all are welcome.

Adult Music Classes at the ACC

Intro to Guitar — Impress your family and friends with a melodic strum or a popular rock tune. This fun course is designed to teach the basic fundamentals and techniques needed to play guitar in any musical style. Here are the details: for ages 18 and older, 5-6 p.m. Mondays, July 24-Aug. 28, Adult Community Center at 505 G Ave., $66.

Choral Group — Learn the basics of proper vocal techniques, warm-ups and vocal health. This class is designed for all levels and provides physical and mental benefits and the chance to socialize with other music lovers. Here are the details: for ages 18 and older, 5-6 p.m. Wednesdays, July 26-Aug 30, Adult Community Center at 505 G Ave., $36.

Piano for Adults — Learn the basic skills of piano on a keyboard. Group lessons introduce students to the basics of music theory. Learn to play songs, read music and rhythmic expression. Here are the details: for ages 18 and older, 6-7 p.m. Mondays, July 24-Aug 28, Adult Community Center at 505 G Ave., $66.

Kids Dance

Mini-Ballerinas — An introduction to ballet class with teacher Eve. Play breaks incorporated in a fun learning environment. Here are the details: for ages 3-5, 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturdays, July 22-Aug 26, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree Road, $51.

Music Camp

Music Around the World — Explore different countries by listening to music they make. Make your own instruments and learn about different cultures. Music is the universal language and we have a lot of exploring to do. Before care provided 7-9 a.m. at $25 per week. Here are the details: for ages 5-7, 9 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, Aug. 7-11, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree Road, $144.

Adult Get Interested

Adult CPR, First Aid and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training — Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first-aid emergencies or give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person. Students receive certification upon completion of class. Here are the details: for ages 10 and older, 9 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Saturday, July 22, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree Road, $104.

Golf

Kool Kidz Clinics (New Recruits) — This beginner clinic gets new recruits up to speed on the basics of golf and enjoying the game, in no time. Here are the details: for ages 10 and older, 10-11:30 a.m. Mondays, July 24-31, Lake Oswego Public Golf Course at 17525 S.W. Stafford Road, $50.

Adult Class-Novice Guide to Golf — Perfect for those who have a grasp of the fundamentals and have played a few times, but still struggle to break 120. Topics include overview of basics, navigating the course, ball flight info and short game basics. Here are the details: for ages 18 and older, 9-10 a.m., Saturdays, July 29-Sept. 2, Lake Oswego Public Golf Course at 17525 S.W. Stafford Road, $95.
