For The Review, Tidings
Daniel Lewkow will talk about the American Civil Liberties Union's (ACLU) "They Report to You" campaign at the Jan. 11 meeting of the Willamette Women Democrats.
The program, which is scheduled from 4-6 p.m., will be held at the Celebrate Conference Center, located at 15555 S.W. Bangy Road in Lake Oswego.
"They Report to You" is a major initiative to make Oregon's criminal justice system more effective, fair and accountable by electing district attorneys who promise to reform the system.
The campaign gives voters the tools to demand a better criminal justice system, and to evaluate whether their DAs deserve re-election.
Daniel Lewkow is the campaign manager for ACLU's "They Report to You" initiative. He has been the finance director for several campaigns, most recently at Common Cause, and has extensive experience in managing large-scale campaigns.
The public is invited to Lewkow's program. The cost is $15 for members of Willamette Women Democrats and $20 for non-members. Light refreshments will be served.
Those wishing to attend should RSVP by noon on Monday, Jan. 8, by going to the website www.w2dems.com or by calling 503-656-4445.
