Carnivorous plants topic of gardening talk
For The Review, Tidings
Clackamas County Master Gardeners invite all to attend a program presented by Jeff Dallas March 12 at Milwaukie Center, 5440 S.E. Kellogg Creek Drive in Milwaukie.
Dallas will present a program on growing carnivorous plants. The program is free and open to the public.
Of all the plants intriguing to home gardeners, carnivorous plants tend to be among the most misunderstood and frequently killed when gardeners attempt to grow them. But once people navigate past the myths and misconceptions around them they can be some of the most interesting and beautiful plants in the garden, particularly in the Pacific Northwest.
Dallas, co-owner of Sarracenia Northwest, a carnivorous plant nursery, will share information about carnivorous plants including care, pests and different applications of the plants in home and garden settings.
