Kids can learn to cook during the break
Are you looking for a fun and educational opportunity for your 7 to 12-year-old during spring break? Sign them up for the Y Chef: Taste of History class. Presented by the YMCA this class will unlock the mysteries of food and teach kids the origins of some of their favorite foods while making dishes following recipes. The spring break camp is March 26-30, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Sunset Fire Hall. The fee for the camp is $206.
Everyone Can Dance: Line Dancing — Join instructor Diane Weisenberg for a fun and easy hour of dancing. Learn line dance steps and basic patterns that keep you moving to the beat of the music. Bring a group or a friend and meet others who enjoy line dancing. No partner needed. Our main emphasis is on getting exercise and having fun. This 7-week class is being held on Thursday evenings from 7-8pm staring April 26. The class has a fee of $56.
Voice Overs — You've heard Lisa Foster on TV and radio commercials and now you can hear her live as she demonstrates how to use your voice for commercials, films and videos. Lisa will share her unique, outside-the-box way to cash in on one of the most lucrative full or part-time careers out there. This class will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 25 at the Adult Community Center. Class fee is $35.
Kidz Love Soccer — Since 1979, Kidz Love Soccer has been teaching children the world's most popular sport within a nurturing, recreational environment. These classes are for ages 2-10. A typical session includes age appropriate activities, skill demonstrations, fun games, and instructional scrimmages. Young soccer enthusiasts experience soccer fun in a safe, non-competitive environment. The weekly classes start the week of April 4 at Tanner Creek Park. The fee for the 8-week session is $98.
Spring Social — The West Linn Adult Community Center will host a spring social from 4 to 6 p.m. March 22. Save the date for a great afternoon of good conversation, live music, wine and appetizers. This is a great opportunity to visit the center and see what a great facility we have in our community. We are also hosting a painting opportunity for those interested where you can sip wine and complete a masterpiece before you leave.
