Molalla's Masonic Lodge honored Earl Powers, who attained 60 years as a Mason

MIKE EARLY - Grand Master Arthur Borland, Earl Powers, who was honored for his 60 years as a Mason, and Master Mike Early.
Molalla's Masonic Lodge #178 hosted an official visit by the officers of the Oregon Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons last Wednesday evening.

Festivities started with a social hour and supper was served at 6:30 p.m.

The members of Job's Daughters, Bethel #81 of Canby served supper to all those in attendance. The young ladie's cheery attitudes and clear youthful voices were a nice counter to the older, deeper men's voices and all enjoyed their helping hands.

The official visitation by Arthur L Borland, Grand Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Oregon to Molalla Masonic Lodge #178 started promptly, opened by Mike Early, Master of the Lodge.

During the proceedings, Earl Powers was presented with a Jewel and Certificate for having attained 60 years as a Mason.

Few men can make it to that position in life still active and interested, as is Brother Powers.

The members of Bethel #81 performed the Closing Cross Ceremony for the benefit of all members and visitors in attendance.

Their performance was exemplary and exceptional. The young ladies did an admirable job in front of a capacity crowd.
