Community mourns death of recent MHS alumnus
The Molalla community is mourning the death of a recent Molalla High School alumnus that occurred earlier this week.
Isaiah Ganz, a Class of 2015 graduate of MHS, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep early Monday, April 24, according to a Facebook post from his mother, Carol.
MHS Principal Randy Dalton distributed an announcement to school staff earlier this week and had them read aloud to their students the following message:
"Dear fellow students, a few days ago a recent graduate, Isaiah Ganz, unexpectedly passed away. Many of you may have known Isaiah. For those of you that did not know him, he was a fine young man with a kind heart. He touched many lives and will be missed by our school community. The passing of someone that we care about as a school can be emotional for both students and staff. We want you to know that we are here for you, and that the library will be open all day for those who would like to talk more about Isaiah's life and death, need a quiet place, or would like to write cards to his family."
In addition, there has been a huge outpouring of love and support from friends and family on Facebook. Hundreds of people have posted memories, photos, stories, and more to remember his life that impacted so many.
