JOINT RELAY

The Relay for Life of South Clackamas County's joint team meeting will be on Wednesday, April 18, at 7 p.m. at Smyrna United Church of Christ at 31119 S. Hwy. 170. The meeting will feature information, planning and sharing resources for the joint Canby-Molalla event. This year's Relay for Life will be held June 23 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Canby's Wait Park. MOLALLA CPO

The Molalla Community Planning Organization invites residents to a public meeting on Wednesday, April 18. It will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Molalla Public Library. The organization provides an opportunity for residents in the unincorporated areas surrounding the city to learn about and comment on matters facing them. MHS ALUMNI LUNCHEON

Registration is required by April 18, 2018 for the Molalla High School Alumni Annual Luncheon, which will be held on April 28, 2018 at the Molalla High School Commons Area. Check-in starts at 12 p.m. and lunch is at 1 p.m.

COLTONTEL BUSINESS MEETING

Coltontel's annual meeting for members will be held in the Colton Middle School, 21580 South Schieffer Road, on Thursday April, 19. There will be a social at 6 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Anyone who wishes to serve on the Coltontel board of directors should contact the business office as soon as possible by calling 503-824-32111 or stopping by the local office, 20983 South Highway 211 during business hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meeting packets will be mailed to all member the first of April.

CHAIN OF SURVIVAL EVENT

Molalla Fire District will be celebrating the lives of cardiac arrest saves Ryan Rodgers and Jerry Glenn at a Chain of Survival celebration on April 20 at 6 p.m. at the Molalla main station. Both will be presenting a challenge coin to all caregivers that were involved in the event from dispatch to hospital staff. Molalla Fire District would like to welcome the Molalla, Colton, and Mulino communities to the event. Be advised seating is limited and will be prioritized by responders involved and both Glenn and Rodgers families.

BOOK SALE

The Friends of the Library are holding their quarterly book sale at the library from Friday to Sunday, April 20-22.

COLTON ROAD CLEANUP

There will be a Colton community road cleanup on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22. The meet up place is the parking lot of Colton High School at noon. The plan is to clean as many roads as there are volunteers. 

RURAL DELL REUNION

The annual Rural Dell Reunion will be held Sunday, April 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Smyrna Church Friendship House in Yoder. Attendees are asked to take their own table service and a favorite potluck dish. Spend the day with former students and residents of Rural Dell, Dryland, Yoder and Eby school districts. DEBT ELIMINATION WORKSHOP

Financial Coach Alex Shokrian will be at the Molalla Public Library on Thursday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. to teach attendees how they can work toward eliminating debt. Come learn some of the tips and tricks you can use to balance your financial situation and then build toward the future.

THE TRAVELING TOILET

Decorative toilets are making their way around Molalla throughout the month of April as a fundraiser for the Molalla High School senior drug- and alcohol-free graduation party. Businesses or individuals can send one of five brightly decorated toilets to a local friend or neighbor. Charges are as follows: $10 for sending a toilet to a friend, $10 toilet removal, $20 toilet removal and passing it on, $30 toilet removal and never having it return.
