The Tigers couldn’t keep up with the Indians on Monday. Molalla took the game 3-0, with set scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-12.

It was the Indians’ last non-league game. They enter league play with a 2-4 record. Their first league game is on Thursday, Sept. 19, against Gladstone (1-6).

Overcoming Gladstone will be more of a challenge than beating the Tigers. Gladstone was ranked fourth in the Tri-Valley Conference last year, whereas Taft was at the bottom of the Oregon West Conference.

The week following the Gladstone game will be even tougher for Molalla, as they have bouts with La Salle and Estacade. La Salle was ranked third in the league last year, Estacada first.
