Indians win two tournaments in a row.

The Molalla high school boys bowling team is doing well this season, having won the last two tournaments they’ve bowled in. On Sunday, Jan. 12, they went on the road to Tigard Bowl where they took first place over eight other high school teams from five high schools, including Barlow, Gresham, Rex Putnam, Tigard and Cleveland.

Previous to the Tigard tournament, the Indians took first place out of 16 teams at Milwaukie Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 5.

Lane Phillips, Jacob Mewing, Jared Johnson, Skyler Foster, Andrew Sherwood, and Jared Hartrampf have all bowled for Molalla’s boys team this season. Hartrampf, Johnson, Sherwood and Mewing can’t bowl together until districts, on Feb. 2, because their combined averages are too high. Each week, one of those four bowls for Molalla’s second bowling team, which is composed of girls and boys.
