COCC's Continuing Education program is in the planning stages for offering Certified Nursing Assistant Level 1 and 2 courses in Madras in late 2012 and early 2013.
The CNA Level 1 course (150-plus hours) includes online instruction, handson practice in a skills lab in Madras, and clinical experience at a local health care facility.
Level 1 Certified Nursing Assistants work in assisted living and skilled nursing settings.
The CNA Level 2 course is an 80-hour course that combines classroom, hands-on skills practice and clinical experience to become qualified to work in acute care settings such as hospitals.
You must hold a current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant Level 1 license to take the Level 2 CNA course.
This is a unique opportunity to obtain this training in Jefferson County and space will be limited.
If you are interested in learning more about CNA Level 1 and 2 courses, call the COCC Madras Campus at 541-550-4100 to add your name to a mailing list to be notified when course details are finalized.
