Pioneer will delay paper for election results

Newpaper will be in mail on Thursday, rather than Wednesday

The May 22 issue of the Madras Pioneer will be delayed to include the results of the May 21 election.

The delay will mean that local subscribers will receive their papers in the mail on Thursday, rather than Wednesday. However, the newspaper will be available at retail outlets at about noon on Wednesday, about four to five hours later than usual.

Election results will be posted on the Pioneer website,, on Wednesday.

The Pioneer normally prints on Tuesday afternoons, but will print on Wednesday morning next week to allow the inclusion of election results — the vote on the Madras Aquatic Center operation levy, Culver School District's bond levy, and numerous special district positions.
