CRR parade, events set for July 6


The Crooked River Ranch "Independence Celebration" will be held on Saturday, July 6.

The event will begin with the Independence Celebration Parade, sponsored by the Crooked River Ranch-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce. The parade starts at 10 a.m., on Saturday, and will feature entries from Crooked River Ranch and from all over Central Oregon.

Immediately following the parade, the Crooked River Ranch Lions Club will begin its annual Buffalo Feed, which features entertainment, including the NROTC Drill Team, Sunshine Exchange Cloggers and the Lions Train.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Mariposa Lily Garden Club will hold its annual sale, featuring plants, garden books, framed art and demonstrations by master gardeners. There will also be vendors selling crafts, jewelry and more.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Ranch Chapel will sponsor a children's jump tent, together with the annual quilt show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday evening will feature the CRR Lions Club’s Barn Dance and Beer Garden, with music by the popular group Hangar 52.

The entire event will be held at Crooked River Ranch, in the vicinity of MacPherson Park. Event admission is free, and specific charges for individual items will apply.
