Rock causes accident, injury

A person was seriously injured in an accident on U.S. Highway 26, after a rock fell from a vehicle and struck another vehicle, according to information from Oregon State Police.

The accident occurred on the Warm Springs Reservation, east of the U.S. 26/Highway 216 intersection, so OSP did not have the full report, and the Warm Springs Police Department did not return calls before press time.

OSP’s brief information said at 5 p.m., Oct. 20, a rock fell off one vehicle and struck another, seriously injuring someone. The injured person was taken to Government Camp, and then taken by Life Flight to a hospital.
