The Floyd A. Boyd Co., which sells farm equipment in Madras and four other locations, is in negotiations to sell the business to Pape Machinery, with a closing date set for April 25.

A press release from the purchasing company stated, “Pape Machinery, a longtime authorized John Deere dealer in Central and Southern Oregon, is negotiating to purchase the assets of Floyd A. Boyd, another longtime, family-owned authorized John Deere dealership with locations in Central and Southern Oregon and Northern California.”

“Pape Machinery presently serves agricultural and turf customers from eight locations in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, and eight locations throughout Western Oregon,” the release said.

Headquartered in Eugene, Pape Machinery has 16 agricultural and turf locations, and 21 construction and forestry locations.
