The Madras-Jefferson County Chamber will be going all out for its Fourth of July party at Sahalee Park as it also marks the county’s centennial celebration. The theme for the parade and party is “Jefferson County Celebrating 100 Years.”

The day begins with the Todd Beamer 10K Memorial Run and other walk/run events starting at 7 a.m. If you aren’t a runner, you can watch runners come in while enjoying the Elks Breakfast, beginning at 7 a.m., at the park.

The Jefferson County Historical Society will have its exhibit featuring visuals and live actor performances at the park to mark the county’s 100th anniversary.

Musical entertainment begins at 10 a.m., and the Fourth of July Parade, which circles Sahalee Park, gets underway at 11 a.m. Following the parade, the crowd gathers at the park for plenty of food offerings, music, games, a vintage car display, and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks display at dusk, put on by the Madras Sparklers, visible from downtown Madras, areas near Madras High School, and up by the Madras Aquatic Center.
