Turn in ballots at annex by Nov. 7
The Jefferson County Clerk's Office reported that 28 percent of the ballots had been returned as of Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 31.
Ballots have to be returned to the clerk's office by Election Day, Nov. 7, to be counted. Voters will be deciding whether to approve the renewal of a five-year levy for the Madras Aquatic Center Recreation District, to cover general operations; and whether to approve the formation of a Crooked River Ranch Law Enforcement District.
Drop boxes are located in the courthouse annex parking lot, at the Metolius City Hall, at the CRR Administration Building, and by Warm Springs Fire and Safety in Warm Springs.
Results of the election will be posted on the Pioneer's website, www.madraspioneer.com, on Wednesday, Nov. 8, following the election.
