City plans to update wastewater master plan
The city of Madras is in the process of updating its wastewater master plan, which has not been updated since 1996. The public is invited to attend a meeting on the city's plans on Nov. 29.
The open house for the wastewater master plan will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Madras City Hall, in the Council Chambers. To review the proposed plan, go to the city's website at www.ci.madras.or.us, and click on the "Public Works" tab to find the plan under "Current Projects."
The state requires the city to update its plan at least every 20 years. If you live, work, or own a business or property in the area, then the city wants to hear from you.
The city will have a presentation explaining the wastewater master plan update and what it will mean for you. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and leave comments. There will be light snacks and beverages available.
