Condition of golf course

To the Editor,

I am wondering why it is that the Desert Peaks Golf Course is receiving little to no attention or effort to maintain what we do have.

All of the city parks and ball fields are in great shape, watered, green and mowed. Desert Peaks is in terrible shape, having been mowed only recently, no water at all, and it is seldom you see any workers in the area.

Two years ago the course was significantly improved over previous years, and now it is a mess, at best.

I am not certain how much revenue Desert Peaks generates, I suspect about $40,000 to $50,000 per year, with memberships at $500, but I am certain it is more than any of the parks in the city can provide.

So, then, why is it not receiving any attention, and when can we expect the city to maintain/improve this important city property?
