A special public presentation of the film "We're Not Broke" will be shown at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, in the Jefferson County Library Annex, downstairs meeting room, at 134 S.E. E St., Madras.
Following the film, Steve Schaffer, who has been showing this film across Central Oregon, will be available to share comments regarding its contents.
The film is intended to open people's eyes to the realities of corporate tax breaks and subsidies that are not widely known by the general public. Many of the tax breaks and subsidies are making the economy struggle and add the burden to the working middle class, the film says.
Refreshments will be served at the event, and conversations will be welcomed after the showing of the film, until the event's closing at 8 p.m.
