Roberts-Salgado united

Lauren and Austin RobertsAustin Walker Roberts and Lauren Patrice Salgado were united in marriage on Sept. 7, at the Roberts Ranch northwest of Madras, the home of the groom’s parents, Becky and Dean Roberts.

The wedding was officiated by Paul Cowsill of Gateway, a longtime friend of the Roberts family. Over 150 guests were hosted at the wedding by the Roberts family and by the bride’s parents, Tony and Shelly Salgado, of Portland.

The groom graduated from Madras High School in 2005, and the bride graduated from Clackamas High School in 2006. Both attended Western Oregon University and graduated in 2010.

The groom is employed as a personal trainer at 24-Hour Fitness in Portland, and the bride works for Kaiser Permanente in Portland as a surgery scheduler.

The best man at the wedding, William Ward, and David Santos, a groomsman, were both 2005 Madras High School graduates. The groom’s brothers, Jonathan and Ben Roberts, were also groomsmen.

The bride was attended by the maid of honor, her younger sister Brooke Salgado, a student at Oregon State University, and five more bridesmaids. Family members of both bride and groom attended from as far away as Alaska, Georgia, Arizona and California, as well as many Oregonians.

An honored guest in attendance was 97-year-old Edna Campbell Clark, who was born in the home at the Roberts Ranch on Campbell Road, where the ceremony was held. Clark recalled that the beautiful field in front of the home where the ceremony was held had once been a tennis court.

The family thanks all the relatives, friends and business people who helped make this a joyful experience.
