Students pitch in on toy drive

JCMS students wrap gifts for the toy drive.Jefferson County Middle School students completed their toy drive Dec. 16, donating an estimated 250 toys to Operation Rudolph.

Students either brought in new toys to donate or used their Buffalo Buck reward tickets to buy toys from a supply provided with funds from local businesses. This allowed all students the opportunity to give back and be part of the toy drive.

Local businesses which helped donate money to get the toy drive started included Central Oregon Agronomy, High Desert Organix, Ira’s, Central Oregon Seeds Inc., Bright Wood Corp., and Deschutes Basin Farms.

Students volunteered their time after school to wrap the presents before delivery to Operation Rudolph.
