Heart Smart dinner invites all

The public is invited to attend the 21st Annual Heart Smart Dinner and Health Fair, on Wednesday, March 12, at the Agency Longhouse in Warm Springs.

The event is sponsored by the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center’s Model Diabetes Program.

This year’s event will be held in honor of Michael E. Spaulding for his many years of dedication to the Heart Smart Dinner and the Warm Springs Community.

The health fair will run from 4-6 p.m., and include educational booths from a large number of Indian Health Service, tribal and community groups. Blood sugar and other health screening will be provided free of charge. Several turkey breasts will be raffled off to those that attend the fair.

A traditional salmon dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m., with entertainment by the Sacred Winds Flute Group at 6 p.m.

Decorations at the event will be provided by the children of the Warm Springs Early Childhood Education Program. Everyone is invited for a great evening of education, food and entertainment.
