Culver Mat Club, Madras FFA selling Christmas trees, holiday wreaths in coming weeks.

Christmas trees may be in short supply this year, due to tree farms not planting as many during the recent recession. The tree lot at Busy Bee has announced it will not be selling trees this year.

Two groups that will have a limited number of trees for sale include:

Culver Mat Club – Will have noble fir, Nordman and Douglas fir trees on sale, Nov. 27 through Dec. 17, 10 a.m. until dark, priced at $40 each, at a lot west of Metolius City Hall. If you have no way to haul your tree, mat club members will deliver it in the Culver, Metolius and Madras area at no extra charge. Proceeds from tree sales go to benefit the club.

Madras FFA – Will be taking orders for Christmas trees and wreaths from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1. The 26-inch wreaths are selling for $26 each, and 15-inch wreaths for $15. Noble fir trees are $45-59, grand fir trees $38-43, and Fraser fir trees $40.

Trees and wreaths will be available at the MHS greenhouse from 3:30-6 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 12-4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, by appointment, or until sold out.
