St. Charles has health study scholarships
St. Charles Health System is making available up to 10 health education-related scholarships to students from Jefferson County.
The students must be undergraduate or continuing education students who are enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours in an accredited program that leads to a health-related career.
The scholarships, which will range from $1,000 to $2,500, are available to students who are current residents of Jefferson County or who are graduates of a Jefferson County high school. Scholarships may be renewed, but each year applicants must reapply and compete.
Additionally, selection is based on a combination of the following criteria:
. Strength of application, especially short essays.
. Personal qualities as described by references.
. Academic achievement and perseverance.
. Financial need.
