Community discussion on undocumented immigrant lives and issues at the library.

On Thursday, Feb. 8, as a part of the COCC "Season of Nonviolence", the Jefferson County Library will join with Madras COCC in holding a community discussion based on Julissa Arce's memoir, "My Underground American Dream."

From 5:30-7 p.m., Feb. 8, the public is invited to the Madras COCC community room to participate in a discussion on the topic of undocumented immigrant lives and issues.

All are invited to take part in an honest and respectful dialog. Lorene Forman, library youth services specialist, along with Adriana Arizmendi, library Spanish services, and members of the Teen Book Club will help facilitate the discussion.

Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.

Free copies of Julissa Arce's memoir "My Underground American Dream" are currently available both in English and in Spanish at the Jefferson County Library, 241 SE Seventh St., in Madras.

The public is encouraged to read Arce's memoir, but everyone is welcome to attend the Thursday community discussion even if they have not read the book.
