FUndraiser to help MHS football players with camp fees

The Madras High School football program, postseason qualifiers for the past two seasons, would like to offer their brawn and muscle to help send them to football camp this summer.

Madras football coach Rick Wells said there are five ways for the community to help players pay their way to football camp, the first being the "Rent-a-Jock" program.

Anyone in the community who needs some sort of work or task done can contact Coach Wells; he'll assign some of his finest players to do the job and the community member pays the players what they feel is a fair price for the job. It's perfect for those "honey-do" jobs, Wells said.

Players will also be selling metal yard signs with the new Madras High School logo on them for $20, as well as discount cards to area businesses for $10 each.

They are also raffling off two Browning Medallion .257 caliber rifles, one being a micro model of the gun, for $20 each. The winner of the raffle gets both rifles, and only 500 tickets will be sold.

The drawing for the rifle is on May 23.
