Baseball concludes with double dip Wednesday

The Culver High School softball dropped its final game of the season, a 9-8 decision to league-leading Western Mennonite on Monday in Salem.

The loss was the eighth in a row for the Bulldogs, who ended the Special District 3 season with a 2-10 record.

The Bulldogs finished 3-21 overall.

Culver also lost to Kennedy, 19-1, on Friday, and to Perrydale on May 8, 8-2.

The baseball team will finish its season Wednesday with a doubleheader against East Linn Christian in Lebanon. The first game, which will be a continuation of an earlier suspended game, will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The baseball team is currently 5-8 in Special District 2, but out of playoff contention.
