“It’s been an honor to serve the constituents of the 1st Congressional District over the last two years,” she said. “There is a lot of work still to be done, and I am asking for support today so I can continue my work for Oregonians.”

Oregon’s 1st Congressional District includes Washington, Yamhill, Columbia and Clatsop counties, as well as parts of Multnomah County.

Bonamici pledged to “stand up for seniors, veterans, working families and those who are still seeking employment” if she is re-elected. Bonamici also pledged to continue her work “on behalf of LGBT equality and women who do not earn equal pay.”

“I am focused on education from early childhood through higher education, and I’m working to make college more accessible and affordable,” she added.
