Golf tournament slated Aug. 15
The Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce golf tournament is now open for sign-ups. Celebrating its ninth year, the tournament starts at 7:45 a.m. Aug. 15 at the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course. Designed as a four-person scramble, dozens of prizes are available and there is a $25,000 hole-in-one prize. Registration is $90 a team and can be done online at www.chehalemglenn. com/cvcc.
New leadership program seeks to cultivate leaders
The Leadership Newberg program meets once a month discussing issues of concern to the city and strives to cultivate community leaders. Registration for the program is open with the first session scheduled Sept. 16 and will continue on the third Tuesday each month. New member orientation planned for Chamber
There will be Chehalem Valley Chamber of Commerce new member orientation sessions July 17 and Aug. 17. Those who arent new members are also welcome to join the meeting to learn how to maximize their membership. Reservations are encouraged. The orientation is from 9 to 10:30 a.m. both dates.
Wine, beer tasting July 31 at Normans Interiors
Normans Interiors is hosting a wine and beer tasting from 4 to 8 p.m. July 31. Appetizers from Perfect Picnics will be available, as well as wine from Archer Vineyards and beer from Long Brewing.
