Small business expo will benefit Northwest Mothers Milk Bank
A Newberg Area Small Business Expo will take place Sept. 13 in the new Chehalem Cultural Center ballroom and benefit the Northwest Mothers Milk Bank.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. local vendors will operate booths and raise money for the nonprofit, which collects, pasteurizes and distributes human milk for infants with medical needs.
Newberg Gastroenterology office recognized for quality
The Oregon Clinic Gastroenterology office in Newberg was awarded a three-year certificate of recognition for its work promoting quality endoscopy by The American Society for Gastrointestinal. The Newberg clinic is now one of three certified programs in the greater Portland area.
AAM Inc. penalized for failure to submit reports ontime
AAM Inc., a licensed asbestos abatement contractor, was penalized $1,800 by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality for failing to submit a DEQ-required air clearance report within 30 days of completing an asbestos abatement project at 13075 N.E. Parrett Mountain Road in Newberg. Prior to issuing the penalty, the DEQ sent five warning letters to the company for failing to submit reports on time, a DEQ press release said.
