Community — The annual event returns for a 12th year at the Chehalem Armory Center

If the Chehalem Park and Recreation District has a fairytale event, it’s the annual Father Daughter Dance.

The evening of bonding, complete with twinkling lights, dance and a catered dinner, returns for its 12th year from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Chehalem Armory Center. by: COURTESY OF THE CHEHALEM PARK AND RECREATION DISTRICT - Annual favorite - For more than a decade fathers (or ‘significant father figures') have gathered at the Chehalem Armory Center to participate in the Chehalem Park and Recreation District's Father-Daughter Dance.

Girls of all ages are encouraged to bring their dads or significant father figures and will receive a carnation upon arrival and a 5x7 photo from Cindy Rose Photography.

Dinner will be catered by Wine Country Catering and music will be provide by DJ Dan Busch.

The event was CPRD’s biggest in 2013, drawing 299 participants.

Cost is $25 for those living in the district or $35 for those who don’t, if registered by Feb. 3. Regular price is $35/$45 and daughter and father must register individually.
