Youth lacrosse meeting slated for tonight
An informational meeting for youth in grades 3-8 who are interested in playing lacrosse will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Chehalem Valley Middle School Commons. Coaches and league directors will be on hand to share program and organizational information for the upcoming season.

Youth cheer clinic set for Saturday
The Newberg Tiger Cub Cheer Clinic for girls and boys between the ages of 4 and 14 will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Newberg High School auxiliary gym. Participants will learn basic cheerleading skills and then perform at halftime of the Dec. 13 NHS boys varsity basketball game versus Reynolds. Cost is $30 per child (T-shirt included). Participants will have free admission to the game. Registration forms can be found at any Newberg public school office.
Ski bus meeting on tap in McMinnville
Ski and snowboard enthusiasts are invited to a public meeting Wednesday to discuss a ski bus service provided by Mount Hood Meadows. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Golden Valley Brewing banquet room in McMinnville. Free appetizers will be provided.

Church league ball registration open
Registration for Chehalem Park and Recreation District adult church league basketball is open. Cost is $200 per team with individual fees of $28 for those who live in the district and $38 for those who do not. An additional fee of $100 per team will be charged for teams that do not pay by Friday. Each team must have a minimum of seven players per roster and all players must be at least 16 years old.
