Debbie Lee Gensman

Debbie Lee Gensman of Scappoose died March 16, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland due to complications from a lung infection. She was 58.

Debbie was born Sept. 22, 1955, to Marvin and Helen Silk in Tillamook County.

Raised in Scappoose, she was Catholic.

She was married to Larry Gensman. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Jolene Burum of Portland; daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and Dustin Tankersley of Scappoose; grandsons, Jordan Burum and Jackson Burum, both of Scappoose; granddaughters, Jillian Burum and Josephine Tankersley, both of Scappoose, and Brianna Burum and Samantha Burum, both of Portland; plus several other family friends that referred to her as “Grandma;” sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Don Corliss of Mather, Calif.; sister, Sue Mason of Scappoose; nieces and nephews, Donny, Christy, Andrew and Jeffrey; and close friends, Bret, Cole, Sean, Dell, Teresa, Shantel and Stan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gensman; parents, Marvin and Helen Silk; and her beloved pig, Oliver.

A private celebration of life service will be held.
