Culver baseball in search of more runs

Bulldogs split with Weston-McEwen, still in the hunt for Special District 6 Tournament spot.

WILL DENNER/MADRAS PIONEER - Cole Little (above, center) batted in the winning run in a 5-4 victory over Weston-McEwen last Saturday. Culver lost the second game, 4-2, however, and is looking for more even production from the top of its batting order.
Each game the Culver baseball team takes the field, the Bulldogs are always hungry to score more runs. They have to be.

Per rules in Special District 6, margins of victory are used to break ties between teams with even league records at the end of the regular season.

After Culver split a doubleheader against Weston-McEwen last Saturday, the Bulldogs (9-6-1, 6-4 SD6) find themselves in fifth place, one spot below the cutoff for making the SD6 Tournament.
