Hops: The Hillsboro Hops wrap up an eight-game homestand with a 7 p.m. game against Class A Northwest League foe Salem-Keizer at Hillsboro Ballpark.

Bowling: The 34th annual Dave Husted Pro-Am no-tap tournament is today through Saturday at Milwaukie Bowl. The competition, for juniors, seniors, super seniors and open classification bowlers, leads into the Dave Husted PBA Open, a regional tour stop Friday through Sunday.

Friday, Aug. 16

Hops: Hillsboro opens a five-game road series with the Spokane Indians. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 17

Timbers: The 34-game MLS regular season, which began March 3 for Portland, is down to the final four games of August, two at home. Tonight’s foe is FC Dallas. Kickoff is 8 p.m. at Jeld-Wen Field (KPDX 13).

Thorns: Portland finishes the regular season and tunes up for the National Women’s Soccer League playoffs with a road game against the Seattle Reign FC. Kickoff is 8 p.m. at Starfire Sports Complex at Tukwila, Wash.

College soccer: It’s a noncounting exhibition game, but also the only meeting of crosstown women’s rivals Portland and Portland State, 7 p.m. at Merlo Field.

Sunday, Aug. 18

Portland Meadows: Post time is 1:45 p.m. at the North Portland horse race track.

Golf: The U.S. Blind Golf Association national championship is today through Wednesday at Stone Creek Golf Club in Oregon City. About 20 players from around the world, including tournament director Ron Plath of Lake Oswego, are entered.

Monday, Aug. 19

College volleyball: Concordia University begins its season with a 6 p.m. home match against New Hope Christian.

Softball: The ASANA (Amateur Sports Alliance of North America) Series, with teams from across the country, is today through Aug. 24 at Delta Park.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

Timbers: Portland’s final regular-season home game is 8 p.m., versus Real Salt Lake at Jeld-Wen Field (Root Sports).

Portland Meadows: Horse racing begins at 1:45 p.m.

Hops: A three-game, Northwest League series between the Hillsboro Hops and Eugene Emeralds begins with a 7 p.m. game at PK Park.
