1970: NBA champion Knicks draw biggest Blazers crowd to date

At Memorial Coliseum, the Portland Trail Blazers draw a crowd of 10,259 to see the New York Knicks.BARNETT

It's the 11th home game in Blazers history and the first time attendance has surpassed 10,000.

The Red Holtzman-coached team is defending its NBA championship and features Walt Frazier, Dick Barnett, Bill Bradley, Cazzie Russell, Dave DeBusschere, Mike Riordan, Phil Jackson, Willis Reed and others.

The Knicks win 125-113, despite 40 points by Portland guard Jim Barnett.
